She Blinded Me With Science (Fiction)

Occasionally, okay probably more often than that, I make outlandish statements such as, "I don't like sci-fi." I will say something so general and broad that it isn't entirely true. Unless I'm talking about eggs. I HATE eggs and that is true and total. I'm not proud of this difficult, childish aspect of my personality, but it does rear its ugly head every now and again.

I was thinking about this because a good friend recently reminded me of my proclamation and then went on to name several science fiction tv shows and movies that I love. Okay, so I'm a bit of a hypocrite and a liar or just a stubborn brat. Honestly, I think it's a little of it all. So, to prove how ridiculous I can be, I thought I'd list some of the sci-fi shows I've enjoyed.
  • The Bionic Woman (the original)
  • The Six Million Dollar Man
  • Mork and Mindy
  • The Jetsons
  • The Incredible Hulk
  • Wonder Woman
  • The Twilight Zone
  • Sliders
  • The X-Files
  • Futurama
  • Alias
  • Firefly
  • Lost
  • Invasion
  • Red Dwarf
  • My Hero
  • Heroes
  • Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles
  • Battlestar Galactica (the current one)
So, yes, I'm eating my words without even going into movies in the genre that I like as well. I didn't include it on the list, but I did sometimes watch Star Trek: The Next Generation when it was on. I refuse to watch Dr. Who though. It's not even open for discussion. See? Difficult and childish.

I used to like Quantum Leap with Scott Bakula.

I'm on board with a lot of them. Glad I didn't see Jericho or I would have lost all respect for you. ;)

I've watched about half of those shows ... notably not the most recent of the list. I tend to like the older shows and I ALWAYS loved Lost in Space!
