Dear Battlestar Galactica,

Welcome back! I've missed you, but it was worth the wait. True to form, you ended the "to be continued" episode on a cliffhanger. While I look forward to finding out the answers to many of your questions, I want to savor this, your last, season. So, take your time and do it right, please. Apparently, that's the plan as we're only getting half of the episodes to start with no confirmed time frame for the second part. Just don't keep us hanging for too long.

Thanks much and good hunting! I think it's gonna be a good ride.

Cheers,
Jodi

She Blinded Me With Science (Fiction)

Occasionally, okay probably more often than that, I make outlandish statements such as, "I don't like sci-fi." I will say something so general and broad that it isn't entirely true. Unless I'm talking about eggs. I HATE eggs and that is true and total. I'm not proud of this difficult, childish aspect of my personality, but it does rear its ugly head every now and again.

I was thinking about this because a good friend recently reminded me of my proclamation and then went on to name several science fiction tv shows and movies that I love. Okay, so I'm a bit of a hypocrite and a liar or just a stubborn brat. Honestly, I think it's a little of it all. So, to prove how ridiculous I can be, I thought I'd list some of the sci-fi shows I've enjoyed.
  • The Bionic Woman (the original)
  • The Six Million Dollar Man
  • Mork and Mindy
  • The Jetsons
  • The Incredible Hulk
  • Wonder Woman
  • The Twilight Zone
  • Sliders
  • The X-Files
  • Futurama
  • Alias
  • Firefly
  • Lost
  • Invasion
  • Red Dwarf
  • My Hero
  • Heroes
  • Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles
  • Battlestar Galactica (the current one)
So, yes, I'm eating my words without even going into movies in the genre that I like as well. I didn't include it on the list, but I did sometimes watch Star Trek: The Next Generation when it was on. I refuse to watch Dr. Who though. It's not even open for discussion. See? Difficult and childish.
