- Oh, no, sir. I'm sorry, sir. I could never answer to a whistle. Whistles are for dogs and cats and other animals, but not for children and definitely not for me. It would be too... humiliating. THE SOUND OF MUSIC (Calvin)
- I am not a gun. THE IRON GIANT (Chris)
- All gay men have track lightin'. And all gay men are named Mark, Rick, or Steve. STEEL MAGNOLIAS (Ashleigh)
- And though every single human in the stands or in the commentary boxes was at a complete loss for words, the man who in his life had uttered fewer words than any of them knew exactly what to say. BABE (Stan)
- Are you frightened? Not nearly frightened enough. I know what hunts you. LORD OF THE RINGS: FELLOWSHIP OF THE RING (Anonymous)
- Don't be jealous that I've been chatting online with babes all day. Besides, we both know that I'm training to be a cage fighter. NAPOLEON DYNAMITE (Jen)
- What's with you? Yesterday you were normal and today you're like the Chinese guy from the Karate Kid. What's with you today? EMPIRE RECORDS (Ren)
- There's not a day goes by I don't feel regret. Not because I'm in here, or because you think I should. I look back on the way I was then: a young, stupid kid who committed that terrible crime. I want to talk to him. I want to try and talk some sense to him, tell him the way things are. But I can't. That kid's long gone and this old man is all that's left. I got to live with that. Rehabilitated? It's just a bullshit word. So you go on and stamp your form, sonny, and stop wasting my time. Because to tell you the truth, I don't give a shit. THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION (Jen)
- As your leader, I encourage you from time to time, and always in a respectful manner, to question my logic. If you're unconvinced that a particular plan of action I've decided is the wisest, tell me so, but allow me to convince you and I promise you right here and now, no subject will ever be taboo. Except, of course, the subject that was just under discussion. The price you pay for bringing up either my Chinese or American heritage as a negative is... I collect your fucking head. Just like this fucker here. Now, if any of you sons of bitches got anything else to say, now's the fucking time! KILL BILL, VOL. 1 (Miss Know It All)
- "Empire" had the better ending. I mean, Luke gets his hand cut off, finds out Vader's his father, Han gets frozen and taken away by Boba Fett. It ends on such a down note. I mean, that's what life is, a series of down endings. All "Jedi" had was a bunch of Muppets. CLERKS (Ren)
- You all wanna be looking very intently at your own belly buttons. I see a head start to rise, violence is going to ensue. Probably guessed we mean to be thieving here but what we're after is not yours. So, let's have no undue fussing. SERENITY (Ren)
- Say that reminds me, how'd you get that kid so darn fast? Me and Dot went in to adopt on account a' somethin' went wrong with my semen, and they said we had to wait five years for a healthy white baby. I said, "Healthy white baby? Five years? What else you got?" Said they got two Koreans and a negra born with his heart on the outside. It's a crazy world. RAISING ARIZONA (Jen)
- Human sacrifice, dogs and cats living together... mass hysteria! GHOSTBUSTERS (Ren and Stan was right that it was said by Bill Murray)
- We take Pete's car, we drive over to mum's, we go in, take care of Phillip - "I'm so sorry Phillip" - then we grab mum, we go over to Liz's place, hole up, have a cup of tea and wait for this whole thing to blow over. SHAUN OF THE DEAD (Ren)
- Now that's a real shame when folks be throwin' away a perfectly good white boy like that. BETTER OFF DEAD (Ren)

Ok you got me Jodi...
#1 - Breakfast at Tiffany's?
#3 - Steel Magnolias?
That's all I got. Good choice of quotes!
(Left under previous post).
I love this idea! I'm going to do it, too!
As for those movies, wow - tough! But I know a couple of them, I think.
Chatting with babes - Napoleon Dynamite
Rehabilitated - Shawshank Redemption
Empire had the better ending - Clerks II (?)
Kid so darn fast - Raising Arizona
That's all I got!
#4 is from "Babe"
#13 I recognize, but I can't place it. I sort of think Bill Murray said it, but I just can't remember where.
well, on first glance i know i can give you three:
13. ghostbusters
14. shaun of the dead
15. better off dead
and i am not sure, because i haven't actually seen it, but i know the language, and i know you so i am guessing that 11 is serenity. and 1 might well be babe. oh and...7? what's with today, today? that would be empire records, i do believe.
I got:
7 is Empire Records and
14 is Shaun of the Dead.
I'm not at all sad that I only got two of them; I'm just thrilled to see an Empire Records reference. It's my favorite movie and I've literally never mentioned it to anyone that's seen it!
Good job so far, readers! Ren obviously knows what movies I like and yeah, some were the same from her list, but that's just how it is. Jen was close on the Empire quote (#10), but wrong. And welcome to twofistededitor...who are you? Empire Records is great!!!
Oh, and Ashleigh was off on #1.
#2 - Iron Giant?
I think everyone else beat me to the ones that I knew.
Darn it! All the ones I knew (without cheating) are already guessed. I suppose that's what I get for coming to this party late.
Next time!
oh, i see a clerks in there, too!
Yay Chris! Indeed, that is from The Iron Giant, which in my opinion is the best movie that no one saw. Stupid Warner Brothers.
Ren, even though you didn't specify, I'll give you the Clerks credit for #10. See, Jen? So, so close!
I'm not really anybody - I'm a veteran lurker and blog reader, tho, and pop up randomly from time to time.
I am checking out your site from Jen's QuarterLifeCrisis blog where she mentioned you. Is #5 from Lord of the Rings, Fellowship of the Ring?
Time to start guessing...
Anonymous beat me to #5, I think. I was going to say Fellowship of the Ring.
#1 - Mary Poppins?
Iron Giant is one of my all time favorite movies.
So close. I Googled it after I posted my guess.
# 9 - Kill Bill, but I don't remember ig it's part one or two!
@miss know it all: You are quite close.
I'm really surprised no one has gotten #1.
#1 - Sound of Music.
Alright, I'm gonna give #9 to miss know it all. It's Kill Bill, Vol. 1, but the two volumes are much more one movie than not (such as Clerks I and II).
And yay! Calvin finally got #1, which I mistakenly thought would be an easy one!
