Hypocrisy

I often make the blanket statement, "I HATE reality shows!" and act as if I never watch any of them. Okay, okay, it's simply not true and the ones I choose are not any "better" than the ones you watch. I know that.

The one that currently fascinated me is How Clean Is Your House? on BBC America. They find some filthy dwellings and actually take samples of dirt for analysis for various germs. They find things like salmonella, e.coli, listeria, and other gross bacteria. I've gagged more than once.

I think one of the reasons I like it is that it makes me feel better. My house is not pristine, but it's not that bad. I'm sure Kim and Aggie might disagree.

I often say I hate search for the next whatever yet at the same time I watch Project Runway, Top Chef and America's Next Top Model.

I saw an episode of that once where they said that the dust collecting on the ceiling fan had some sort of awful bacteria/mites in it, so now I start to freak out when stuff gets a little dusty.

I think on Oprah they had one lady that her house was so filthy, the dogs were peeing and pooping on everything, and she had stuff stacked all over the place couldn't find the floor or furniture. Made my house look spotless.

I just hate the ones that purposely create and focus on some sort of conflict outside of competition or purposely creates back stabbing and debauchery. That being said, I'm a recovering MTV Reality Show junkie, been clean for about 6 years. Maybe I'm just getting old.

Lol! My middle name should be aka Pigpen Patty. My place is for the most part a tip and then I get the cleaning frenzy blues and turn it into "House of the Immaculate" and a week later ... yeah, you guessed it ... Pigpen is back!
The world is full of cosmic dust, so what dust it matter!
